C-SPAN's 2016 StudentCam Competition

Upload Your StudentCam Entry Form and Documentary

Click here, or on the "Submit" button above, to complete the Entry Form for yourself, any teammates, and your teacher advisor (if applicable).


You will be prompted to create a Username and Password when you fill out your Entry Form. Choose a unique username (you may use your email address), and choose a password that you will remember. You can log-in with this information at any time to view your uploaded documentary.

Accepted Video Formats and Codecs

Video formats officially supported.
MP4, M4V (Video codecs:H.264 - Audio Codec:AAC)
AVI (Video codecs:Xvid, DivX - Audio Codec:MP3)
FLV (Video codecs:H.264,VP6 - Audio Codec:AAC,ADPCM)
MOV (Video codecs:H.264 - Audio Codec:AAC, MP3)
WMV, WMV9 (Video codecs:VC-1, WMV9 - Audio Codec:WMA**)
MPG, MPEG, M2V (Video codecs:MPEG-1, MPEG-2 - Audio Codec:MP2, MP3)
MKV (Video codecs: H.264 - Audio Codec:WAV-PCM, MP3, AAC)

We do not support most extensions to the QuickTime MOV format, such as multiple video streams, image streams, or other interactive content.
**We currently do not support the WMA Professional or Lossless formats.


Requirements


Upload your StudentCam documentary using the form below. Use the "Choose File" button to select your completed documentary video file located on your computer. Your documentary will begin to upload once you have selected it, agreed to the terms, and clicked “Submit”.


Please be patient as your documentary will likely take some time to complete the uploading process (times will vary depending on the size of your file and your internet connection speed, but please allow up to 10 minutes per 100mb). A confirmation screen will appear when your documentary has successfully uploaded.


All eligible entries must be submitted by midnight Pacific Standard Time at the end of the day on Wednesday, January 20th, 2016.


Accepted Video Formats and Codecs

Files as large as 2GB will successfully upload but the larger the file is, the longer the upload time will be.
